In Stitches Sewing, Karen began sewing at the age of 8 years. With her mother's sewing machine and some scrap fabric she would outfit all of her dolls in the latest fashions, and she has loved sewing ever since! She did her first wedding party at 18 years old, just before attending the School of Fashion Design on Newbury St in Boston. Karen worked in the bridal industry for 10 years, then started teaching children to sew in her apartment in Quincy. She opened her first studio in Quincy in 2001, and has moved twice to larger studios, ending up in our beautiful studio at 48 Franklin St, in Quincy. Karen has realized her lifelong dream, being able to work at what she loves and sharing her passion with other people!
